Saint David’s Day 2019

To celebrate Saint David’s Day 2019 pupils in Year 7, 8 and 9 had a competition to design and create bunting with a Welsh theme. There were many fantastic entries and pupils enjoyed learning about Welsh culture and history.

Year 7

3^rd place – Honor Hopkins 7KWS & Dominic Phillips 7KWS

Year 8

1^st place – Peter Munro 8LG

2^nd place – Abbie Dodd 8DT & Riley Dos Santos 8RD

3^rd place – Maddie Pinkard 8GW & Alana Overton 8DT

Year 9

1^st place – Millie Thomas 9ANB

2^nd place – Olivia Page 9TW & Will James 9GW

3^rd place – Amber Hamling 9TW & Jack Bates 9TW

 

Year 7 form classes were also set a challenge to learn and perform the longest Welsh word ‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch’. Fun was had by all, da iawn pawb!
