SUMMER 2020 A LEVEL RESULTS

A-level students will be awarded the grades predicted for them by their teachers, the Government has announced this afternoon.

I am delighted about this reversal of government policy, as it means that your grades will now reflect appropriately and fairly the evidence our teachers have collected over the 5 terms of your assessed work and examination results.
I do recognise how difficult the last few days have been for many of you. I am proud of your resilience and determination not to allow the grades awarded to you using the Ofqual statistical model to define you.
If you require our support in providing your CAGs to your firm choice university, please contact Mr Bourton at the earliest opportunity. We are not yet sure exactly how universities are likely to react to this change of grade awards, but rest assured we will do everything we can to ensure you are treated fairly.
Kind regards
Innes Robinson
Head of School

SUMMER EXAM SEASON 2020 Contingency Plans

We have received the following advice from Examination Awarding Bodies:

Contingency Timetable dates have been scheduled up to and including Wednesday 24th June 2020. These dates will be used in the event of widespread, sustained national or local disruption to examinations due to Corona virus. Candidates must remain available until Wednesday 24th June 2020 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan. Please therefore ensure, if you are sitting external examination this Summer, that you are available should the contingency plan come into force.
