Civic Engagement Project for Wales

Whitmore High proudly welcomed students from Atlantic College on Friday 8th March to deliver a series of workshops to year 8 pupils. The Civic Engagement Project workshops aim to increase civic engagement and political awareness among young people in Wales. The students were very engaged throughout and will use their knowledge to promote peer-led civic education into the Whitmore High curriculum.

Kayleigh McCarthy said “I really enjoyed working with Atlantic College as they made politics fun, I would like to learn more about politics in school so that we are prepared to make a change in the future”
